We realise that for some families it is important that students have internationally recognized and transferable qualifications, especially as their children approach the age for university.
For this reason we offer students a wide range of IGCSE courses in Years 10 and 11.
We believe that core skills and knowledge are very important so students must study English, Mathematics, a foreign language and a Science and we strongly encourage them, in the interests of breadth and balance, to also take at least one humanities course and a creative arts course.
Again, the approach at this age is informed by the IBO principles with all students studying the IGCSE Global Perspectives course: we feel this course is an excellent way of to developing international mindedness in our students as well as the kinds of research and extended writing skills that will benefit them in their studies for the IB Diploma and at University.
