Zoe Wise – Head of Primary and Designated Safeguarding Lead
Zoe Wise has been a dedicated educator since 2002, having graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education from St Martin’s College, Lancaster University in North England, specialising in Mathematics and Numeracy. Seeking international experience (and a warmer climate), Zoe relocated with her family to Uganda in 2019. This move has allowed her family to embrace a multicultural lifestyle and immerse themselves in a rich tapestry of diverse cultures.
In her current role as Primary Head, Zoe is committed to continual school improvement and elevating teaching and learning standards. Her leadership extends to the vital role of Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring that the health, safety, and well-being of all students at Kampala International School Uganda (KISU) are at the forefront of the community’s priorities. She maintains an unwavering focus on safeguarding and child protection, underpinned by her advanced training, enrolment and qualifications, including the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) and higher-level safeguarding and child protection certifications.
Zoe remains actively engaged in her professional development, continually expanding her expertise to enrich her leadership capabilities. Her long-term vision is to contribute meaningfully to KISU by fostering the growth of future leaders among the teaching staff and supporting the broader school community in delivering exceptional education.
